My First Internship Journey at SP Advertising Agency

Starting my first internship was a completely new experience for me. As an MBA student, I had learned many concepts in the classroom, but I always wondered how those concepts would actually work in a professional environment. My internship journey at SP Advertising Agency, Bengaluru, gave me the opportunity to experience the corporate world, learn from professionals, and understand how an advertising agency operates. On my first day, I was excited but also a little nervous. Everything around me was new—the workplace, the people, the work culture, and the responsibilities. I quickly realized that an internship is not just about completing assigned tasks; it is about observing, asking questions, taking responsibility, and continuously learning. During my internship, I got exposure to the outdoor advertising industry, particularly different types of advertising media such as billboards, digital displays, gantries, unipoles, cantilevers, and FOBs. One of my important learning experiences was working with advertising inventory data. I learned how to organize information about advertising locations, areas, board sizes, and media types in Excel. This helped me understand how important accuracy and proper data management are in an advertising organization. Excel became one of the important tools in my learning journey. I practiced organizing data, using formulas, formatting sheets, and managing large amounts of information. Initially, some tasks seemed confusing, but with guidance and practice, I became more comfortable. Every small mistake became a learning opportunity and helped me improve my attention to detail. Another valuable part of my internship was learning about Bengaluru’s outdoor advertising landscape. I came across various locations and understood how factors such as traffic movement, visibility, audience reach, location, and board size influence outdoor advertising. This helped me connect theoretical marketing concepts with real-world advertising decisions. Beyond technical skills, the internship also helped me develop important professional skills. I learned the importance of punctuality, communication, teamwork, responsibility, and being open to feedback. Interacting with experienced professionals taught me that asking questions and being willing to learn are important qualities in the workplace. My first internship also taught me that professional growth does not happen overnight. There were moments when I made mistakes or found a task challenging, but instead of being discouraged, I learned to understand the mistake and improve. Each day brought something new, whether it was learning an Excel function, understanding an advertising location, or simply becoming more confident in communicating with colleagues. Looking back, my internship at SP Advertising Agency has been more than just a part of my MBA journey. It has been my first step from classroom learning to real-world experience. It helped me understand my strengths, identify areas where I need to improve, and gain a clearer picture of professional life. My first internship journey will always remain special because it gave me my first taste of the corporate world. I am grateful for the guidance, experiences, challenges, and lessons I received along the way. Most importantly, I learned that every new experience is an opportunity to grow—and this is only the beginning of my professional journey.

Dampness that won’t quit, clothes that take forever to dry, and that musty smell creeping into the wardrobe are problems every Chikankari owner faces between July and September. A few small changes in washing, drying, and storage during the rains can keep every kurta, dupatta, and set looking fresh for years. Here’s a season-specific guide on how to care for Chikankari. Why Monsoon Care for Chikankari Matters Humidity above 70% creates the perfect environment for fabric damage. Here’s what happens and why monsoon-specific care matters. Moisture gets trapped in folded garments and invites mildew growth Prolonged dampness weakens cotton and mulmul fibres over time Colours bleed or fade faster when wet clothes sit unattended Embroidery thread can loosen if wrung or twisted while wet Closed wardrobes without air circulation speed up mildew formation A cotton Chikankari kurta or a mulmul piece in breathable fabric handles monsoon better than silk or georgette. But even the best fabric needs the right care routine. Chikankari Washing Instructions for Monsoon
